Eligibility requirements
Those who satisfy all of the requirements ①, ② and ③ below
- 1Both parents and the applicant are foreigners
- 2High school graduates or holders of comparable schooling background
- 3Holders of 2nd or higher grade in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) or graduates of comparable courses
Dual-citizenship nationals with Korean nationality as of the application date are not eligible to apply.

Document screening
- 1Scholastic ability: If the candidate has scholastic ability equivalent to that of regular high school graduates
- 2Korean language skills: Documents certifying Korean language skills such as TOPIK score report

Copy of passport
- Copies of passports of the applicant and his/her parents (or ID card of the relevant country) to be submitted
- The passports should have a remaining validity of one year or longer as of the day the classes commence
- Those who are already staying in Korea should submit a copy of their alien registration card (front and back) as well
High School (Expected) Graduation Certificate
One of the following
- 1 Apostille authentication (those from Apostille member countries)
- 2Original documents certified by the Korean consul stationed in the applicant’s country or its consul stationed in Korea
For Chinese applicants, documents certified by China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI), Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, should be submitted.
Applications who submit the high school ‘expected’ graduation certificate should submit the high school graduation certificate later.
High school transcript
Original and notarized translation copy (English or Korean)
Certified score report of Korean language skills
Documents falling under one of the following
- 1Documents certifying Korean language skills such as TOPIK 2nd grade or higher score report
- 2Korean language course score report of 2nd grade or higher issued by a local Korean university
- 3Certificate of completion of Korea Immigration & Integration Program (KIIP) Level 2 or higher course, Transcript, Certificate of Enrollment
- 4Certificate of completion of King Sejong Institute Korean Beginner II or higher course
Documents proving family relations
- Documents proving the nationality and family relations of the applicant and his/her parents
- Applicants from China: Original of the Chinese household register (notarized copy of certificate of kinship when separated from parents’ household)
- Applicants from countries other than China: Documents proving family relations
Certificate of bank account balance
- Original certificate of savings account balance held in the name of the applicant or his/her parents or financial guarantor (16 million Korean won or more)
The certificate of account balance must be submitted according to the Korean Ministry of Justice guidelines. Certain additional documents should be submitted as required.
Applicants from China: When applying for your entry visa, you should additionally submit a certificate newly issued within the last one month.
Documents proving financial support
Notarized English or Korean translation of financial support documents such as proof of employment, income, and properties held by the financial guarantor (English or Korean)
Additional documents may be requested for verification during the document review process.
